In the beginning...

The first step we took was to sign up. We managed to come up with the $75 registration fee and we were eager to get started. None of us had much money so that was a little more difficult than you might imagine. Within a couple of weeks we recieved our registration packets that contained a t-shirt and loads of information about the walk.

We first attended their Orientation. It was held locally nearly every other week so finding a convenient one to attend was easy. At the orientation, they talked about the challenges of the walk and the greatest challenge of all, raising the $1,900 donation required to participate. They also spoke a lot about where the money goes. We did our own research as well and determined that this was a very good cause that would definitely be beneficial of our time and energy.

At the orientation, they urged us to get started on our fundraising but we were still confused about how to start.
